Secret Hideout

This is probably a place many people know. It’s not really that secret at all anymore, especially with recent developments in the area, but when I was growing up it was the perfect spot to go be in nature and get away from people. An off the path hideaway amidst the urban sprawl.

It looks a lot different now. What were once weeds poking through the cement have grown into trees. A bicycle path has been paved allowing pedestrians and cyclists alike to cross underneath. It is well lit, and the graffiti pictured here has since been covered with the original grey.

It may not be the place I remember, but it’s turned into the magical world that it was for my friends and I.
